In treating the body its important to know the limits of our effectiveness. Such is the case with an injured meniscus in the knee. Hi. I’m David Morin for Health Matters Seminars. Get Free Videos and Course Info: http://tiny.cc/MasterClassGetVideos

The knee menisci are two cartilaginous cups that help to cushion the weight bearing force between the femur and tibia. Injured much more often than the lateral meniscus, the medial meniscus attaches to the medial collateral ligament, the medial hamstrings and vastus medialis muscle.

Though we can’t treat a torn meniscus, we can reach and treat the ligament and muscles with manual therapy.

A positive Apley Test indicates a possible tear and referral to a physician is wise.

Practice all the assessment tests to gain proficiency so they will be there when you need them. Good assessment leads to effective treatment.

We have an upcoming online Master Class that covers many more assessments along with pathology, remedial exercises and a multitude of treatment approaches and techniques. If clinical therapy is your cup of tea, this may be the program for you.
